Abstract:
Techniques for placing sequential or individual labels in an electronic image are disclosed. According to one embodiment, label parameters are determined. These label parameters may include, but not be limited to, label styles, fonts, sizes, or increments. As objects in the image are respectively identified, labels per the parameters are automatically generated and then placed upon or near the identified objects. A tracing line may be automatically added between a pair of an identified object and a label to demonstrate a visual association. When one or more of the label parameters are adjusted, the labels are automatically and systematically changed per the changes.

Abstract:
A collaborative communication system is disclosed. The collaborative communication system integrates a number of electronic communication tools to meet the collaborative communication needs for an enterprise, family members or friends. All communications are within the system. According to one aspect of the collaborative communication system, registered users in the system are provided public, group and private arenas or domains. Depending on the privacy, communications with others may be conducted in any one of these domains. According to another aspect of the collaborative communication system, communications with others can be conducted through electronic internal mail (herein “i-mail”), instant messaging and file sharing. In particular, the i-mail operates on identifiers pertaining to registered users, thus eliminating the possibility of the registered users receiving unwanted email from other users outside the system.

Techniques for delivering internal mail over the Internet without relying upon a domain name in an email address commonly known to include an @ sign are disclosed. An embodiment of the techniques is for a collaborative communication system or platform, where each of users in the collaborative communication platform is assigned an identifier. The identifier is used for delivering the internal mail so authored similarly to an email, except that the internal mail is delivered without relying upon an email address or the domain name therein. The identifier of a recipient cannot be used as an email address for someone other than any of the registered users to send an email message to the recipient.
