Transparent Polyamide Compositions

View page
US Patent:
60226137, Feb 8, 2000
Filed:
Jun 11, 1999
Appl. No.:
9/330273
Inventors:
Jie Ren - Morris Plains NJ
Assignee:
AlliedSignal Inc. - Morris Township NJ
International Classification:
C08L 7700
B32B 702
US Classification:
428220
Abstract:
This invention provides polyamide compositions and films made therefrom, having enhanced physical properties and a high degree of transparency. More particularly, the invention pertains to polyamide compositions having increased transparency while maintaining a high degree of crystallinity. The polyamide compositions contain a first polyamide homopolymer or copolymer having balanced amino and acid terminal group; and a second polyamide homopolymer or copolymer having an excess of terminal amino groups, wherein the first polyamide is present in an amount of from about 10 to about 95 percent by weight and the second polyamide is present in an amount from about 5 to about 90 percent by weight, based on the total weight of the first and second polyamides.

Multi-Functional Optical Illuminators

View page
US Patent:
20210334488, Oct 28, 2021
Filed:
May 17, 2017
Appl. No.:
16/614182
Inventors:
- Fort Mill SC, US
Jie REN - Morris Plains NJ, US
Yunxin OUYANG - Morris Plains NJ, US
International Classification:
G06K 7/10
Abstract:
A multi-functional optical illuminator comprises: a light pipe () with an open frame structure for visual aiming of the illuminator to facilitate an alignment of a barcode; and a circuit board (), attached to a back opening of the light pipe (), comprising six dark field LEDs () for generating six dark field illuminations and two bright field LEDs () for generating bright field illuminations; wherein, the two bright field LEDs () produce two alternating point sources for providing bright field illuminations in different directions to minimize a specular reflection hot spot without using any diffuser during the bright field illuminations; wherein, chamfered inner edges of the light pipe () emit the dark field illuminations in different orientations from the light pipe (). The illuminator is designed to provide dual-field, multi-color, multi-directional illumination. The non-closed form option not only can further reduce the weight but also can allow arrange opening area clearance for: (1) visual aiming and alignment in application, especially for hand held application; (2) reducing illumination crosstalk to unwanted directions; and for (3) mechanical integration. The improvements allow the illuminator to read direct product marking (DPM) type of barcodes.

Coaxial Aimer For Imaging Scanner

View page
US Patent:
20200210663, Jul 2, 2020
Filed:
Jul 19, 2017
Appl. No.:
16/631257
Inventors:
- Fort Mill SC, US
Jie REN - Morris Plains NJ, US
Yunxin OUYANG - Morris Plains NJ, US
International Classification:
G06K 7/14
Abstract:
An aimer pattern projector assembly () includes an LED light source (), an LED aperture plate (), and a projector lens () disposed in front of and coaxial with the LED aperture plate () and the LED light source (). The LED light source (), aperture plate (), and projector lens () each have a central opening configured to accommodate and coaxially align with a line of sight of an imaging lens. The LED light source () can include two or more LEDs operably coupled to a PCB. A coaxial aimer imager assembly () can include an imaging lens-sensor module () and the aimer pattern projector assembly. A method for scanning includes generating a combined aimer pattern coaxially aligned with a line of sight of an image of the object.

Predicting Received Signal Strength In A Telecommunication Network Using Deep Neural Networks

View page
US Patent:
20190150006, May 16, 2019
Filed:
Nov 15, 2017
Appl. No.:
15/814074
Inventors:
- Plano TX, US
Xin Zhang - Pennington NJ, US
Jie Ren - Somerset NJ, US
Ruilin Liu - Hillsborough NJ, US
Xufeng Chen - Shanghai, CN
Xie Wang - Shanghai, CN
Qitao Song - Shanghai, CN
Lizhou Zhou - Shenzhen, CN
Xiujun Shu - Shenzhen, CN
International Classification:
H04W 24/06
H04W 48/04
G06N 3/02
Abstract:
A computer-implemented method for predicting received signal strength in a telecommunication network includes receiving, by one or more processors that execute a convolutional neural network, geographic data representing geographic information of a geographic area and antenna and trasnmit power information of a base station in the geographic area; inputing the geographic data and the antenna and trasnmit power information into the convolutional neural network; predicting received signal strength using the convolutional neural network that includes a number of convolution layers based on the received geographic data and the antenna and trasnmit power information, the received signal strength representing signal strength of wireless signals received at different locations in the geographic area; and outputting the predicted received signal strength.
