Compositions And Methods For The Expression Of Factor Viii Polypeptides And Uses Therefor

View page
US Patent:
6517830, Feb 11, 2003
Filed:
Aug 4, 2000
Appl. No.:
09/633020
Inventors:
John S. Lollar - Decatur GA
Hung V. Do - Atlanta GA
John F. Healey - Snellville GA
Edmund K. Waller - Atlanta GA
Assignee:
Emory University - Atlanta GA
International Classification:
A01N 6300
US Classification:
424 9321, 514 44, 4353201
Abstract:
Compositions and methods are provided for the in vivo gene delivery of nucleic acid sequences encoding the factor VIII protein to the liver endothelial sinusoidal cells (LSECs). Compositions and methods are also provided for the ex vivo gene transfer of nucleic acid sequences encoding the factor VIII protein to cultured LSECs and the implantation of the transformed LSECs in vivo. These methods and compositions increase the level of factor VIII in the blood stream and find use in the gene therapy treatment of hemophilia A.

Continuous Burst Mode Digital Camera

View page
US Patent:
7787026, Aug 31, 2010
Filed:
Nov 4, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/981213
Inventors:
Kevin Flory - Livermore CA, US
Hung Do - Fremont CA, US
William Stemper - San Jose CA, US
Yasu Noguchi - Sunnyvale CA, US
Steven D. Loi - San Jose CA, US
Assignee:
Media Tek Singapore Pte Ltd. - Singapore
International Classification:
H04N 5/76
H04N 3/14
H04N 9/083
G06K 9/32
US Classification:
34823199, 348273, 348280, 382300
Abstract:
A camera has a continuous full-resolution burst mode wherein a sequence of full-resolution images is captured, is image processed by a pipeline of dedicated hardware image processing engines, is zoomed by a zoom engine, is compressed by a compression engine, and is stored into nonvolatile storage as a sequence of discrete files. The capturing of images and the storing of files continues at a rate of at least three frames per second until the user indicates burst mode operation is to stop or until nonvolatile storage becomes filled. Although the camera has a buffer memory into which raw sensor data is placed before image processing, the number of images that can be captured in a single burst is not limited by the size of the buffer memory. The cost of a consumer market camera having continuous burst mode capability is therefore reduced by reducing the required amount of buffer memory.

Self-Triggering Cmos Image Sensor

View page
US Patent:
7812879, Oct 12, 2010
Filed:
Oct 30, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/928285
Inventors:
Xinqiao Liu - Mountain View CA, US
Hung Do - San Jose CA, US
Assignee:
Fairchild Imaging - Milpitas CA
International Classification:
H04N 3/14
H04N 5/335
US Classification:
348308, 348302, 348294
Abstract:
An image sensor and method for using the image sensor to capture an image are disclosed. The image sensor includes an imaging array, a first block amplifier and a controller. A first plurality of pixels in the imaging array includes pixels having a photodiode connected to a first node by a gate transistor, a reset transistor connected between the first node and a reset node, a pixel amplifier having an input connected to the first node and an output, and an output gate for connecting the pixel amplifier output to an output bus. The sensor has a monitoring mode and an image capture mode. In the monitoring mode the reset node is connected to the first block amplifier whose output is monitored and used to trigger the image capture mode when the output exceeds a predetermined threshold.
