Abstract:
Disclosed are topical compositions, including methods of applying those compositions to absorb sweat and sebum from the skin, wherein the compositions comprise (A) fluid-absorbent solids having a Water Absorption Value of at least about 0. 5 grams/gram; (B) an adhesive fluid; and (C) a liquid carrier; herein the composition has an Average Wear Index Value of at least about 60%. The topical compositions provide effective delivery and deposition of the fluid-absorbent solid onto the skin from an extended wear composition.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a mild, lathering personal cleansing soap bar composition by weight of the bar comprising: from 30 to 85 parts of tailored fatty acid soap, from 0 parts to 30 parts lathering synthetic detergent/surfactant, and from 5 to 35 parts of water. The tailored fatty acid soap comprises: I. from 50% to 85% is saturated fatty acid soap selected from the group consisting of: myristic, palmitic, and stearic acid soaps and mixtures thereof; and II. from 15% to 50% is mixture of oleic (C18:1) and lauric acid (C12) soaps; including from 0 to 10% minor fatty acid soaps selected from the group consisting of: C8, C10, C18:2; and mixtures thereof; wherein said tailored fatty acid soap is a mixture of 65% to about 95% sodium soap and from 5% to about 35% magnesium soap.

Abstract:
A tea concentrate which is stable against flake formation during cyclic freezing and thawing and which has enhanced solubility in cold water is disclosed. The tea concentrate comprises from about 0. 4 to about 8% by weight tea solids, an edible gum selected from xanthan gum, cellulose gums, locust bean gum, guar gum and mixtures thereof in specified amounts, and optionally a solubilizer selected from the sugars, the polyols and mixtures thereof in specified amounts. The tea concentrate has a pH of about 4. 6 or less at 20. degree. C. and is therefore stable against the growth of most microbial pathogens without the use of preservatives. Tea beverages prepared from this tea concentrate also have low astringency, fresh brewed tea flavor, and an enhanced mouthfeel.
