US Patent:
20140047361, Feb 13, 2014
Filed:
Aug 8, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/569700
Inventors:
Brian GASPAR - Mountain View CA, US
Anil SUDHAKARAN - Irvine CA, US
Appla J. PADALA - Irving TX, US
Hari G. NAIR - Thiruvananthapuram, IN
Makoto ISHIJIMA - Haymarket, AU
Assignee:
Oracle International Corporation - Redwood Shores CA
International Classification:
G06F 3/01
US Classification:
715762
Abstract:
A method, system, and computer program product for a human-computer graphical interface device for interacting with a multi-level hierarchy. The method commences by receiving a hierarchy data structure that describes a plurality of adjacent hierarchical levels, from which are selected three adjacent levels, which in turn are used in forming a graphical screen device having three or more three concentric annular areas, each one of the concentric areas corresponding to a respective level of the hierarchy. Each one of the concentric areas is populated with icons or other screen devices, and the icons are annotated with aspects of node information pertaining to a node at the respective level. The annular areas can be formed by circle shapes and/or by ring shapes. The organization of the rings corresponds to adjacent levels of the hierarchy such that each larger ring corresponds to a successively next lower level of the hierarchy.

US Patent:
20110307303, Dec 15, 2011
Filed:
Jun 14, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/814756
Inventors:
Debasis DUTTA - Kolkata, IN
Brian GASPAR - Mountain View CA, US
Julian CHALLENGER - Reading, GB
Dinesh ARORA - Cupertino CA, US

Abstract:
A computer-implemented method for predicting a future characteristic of a worker is provided. The method includes collecting a plurality of attributes associated with each of a plurality of workers, applying a data mining tool to the attributes to identify a pattern between the attributes and a future characteristic of the workers, and using the identified pattern to predict the future characteristic of a worker. In one example, the future characteristic is the future performance of the employee and/or the likelihood that the worker leaves at some point in the future.
