Abstract:
A device and system for increasing the safety of portable stoves or stoves used in unstable conditions. The device includes at least one support member and at least one retaining member slidably disposed on the support member. The retaining member has an anchoring mechanism movably disposed on it that is used to lock it into place with respect to the support member. The retaining member contacts the sides of a pot or other cooking vessel when in an active position and may be moved into a stowed position.

Abstract:
A roof has a fixed roof section with a bottom, a top, sides and an exposed face. A solar panel has an exterior edge, an interior edge and side edges. The side edges have midpoints intermediate the interior and exterior edges. The solar panel has an outer face and an inner face. Tubing movably couples the solar panel with respect to the fixed roof section. A drive member is adapted to move the solar panel with respect to the fixed roof section. A control sub system includes a processor and a sensor. The processor is operatively coupled to the sensor. In this manner the position of the sun is determined. Also in this manner the drive member is activated and inactivated. Further in this manner the angular orientation of the solar panel may be varied. Finally in this manner the efficiency of the solar panel may be maximized.

The invention relates to a grill having a heating element for heating food, a cooking grate positioned above the heating element and having a plurality of openings for permitting grease to pass where the plurality of openings are arranged around the heating element, and a touch control for adjusting a temperature of said heating element. A system for improving the safety of a stove by preventing unwanted movement of cooking vessels in use on the stove. The system includes independently extendable posts that are adjacent to the cooking areas of the stove. The extendable posts may be retracted to a position wherein the top surface of the post is at or below the surface of the stove so as to enable easy cleaning and provide an attractive appearance.
