High Efficiency Gas Furnace

View page
US Patent:
52824578, Feb 1, 1994
Filed:
Dec 1, 1992
Appl. No.:
7/983885
Inventors:
William E. Kraemer - Sterling Heights MI
Manouchehr Daneshvar - Novi MI
Assignee:
Combustion Concepts, Inc. - Detroit MI
International Classification:
F24H 302
US Classification:
126110C
Abstract:
A high efficiency gas furnace utilizes a unique premix design in combination with a pressurized/high velocity combustion process. The combustion process occurs in a combustion chamber and the high temperature high velocity products of combustion follow a circuitous route from the combustion chamber through finned tubular conduits to an exhaust. Heat from the high temperature high velocity products is transferred to the finned tubular conduits. An air blower assembly forces air across the finned tubular conduits and the combustion chamber to remove the heat from the finned tubular conduits and transfer this heat to a building or an enclosed portion thereof.

US Patent:
53986687, Mar 21, 1995
Filed:
Jul 13, 1994
Appl. No.:
8/274993
Inventors:
Manouchehr Daneshvar - Novi MI
William E. Kraemer - Sterling Heights MI
Assignee:
Combustion Concepts, Inc. - Detroit MI
International Classification:
A47J 2700
US Classification:
126391
Abstract:
A high efficient gas fired frying apparatus for deep frying food is disclosed. The gas fired frying apparatus is comprised of a supply system for air and fuel gas, a compression system, a burner system, a combustion chamber, a heat exchanger and an exhaust system. The air and fuel gas are mixed and pressurized prior to being introduced to the burner system. The burner system works in conjunction with the combustion chamber to support combustion by balancing the premixture velocity with the flame velocity such that smooth and complete combustion occurs. The high velocity components of combustion are directed through a heat exchanger which transfers the heat to the cooking oil. The exhaust system recovers additional energy from the products of combustion and a catalytic converter may be added for removal of unwanted pollutants. Both the combustion chamber and the heat exchanger are removably disposed within the frypot to facilitate cleaning and oil replacement.

High Efficient Heat Treating And Drying Apparatus And Method

US Patent:
53640802, Nov 15, 1994
Filed:
Jun 24, 1993
Appl. No.:
8/083196
Inventors:
William E. Kraemer - Sterling Heights MI
Manouchehr Daneshvar - Novi MI
Assignee:
Combustion Concepts, Inc. - Detroit MI
International Classification:
C21D 100
US Classification:
266262
Abstract:
A zone controlled furnace for heat-treating of metallic and non-metallic stocks positions one or more modular metallic combustion burners in the furnace chamber and along the path of the stock to selectively control the heat supplied to any zone of the furnace chamber. The burners receive and ignite a high pressure premix of combustible gas and are illustrated by a porous fiber metallic sheet and a jet burner arrangement which discharge flames direct, and a jet nozzle which discharges heated combusted products. The high pressure/velocity flame and products of combustion ejecting from the burners will impinge on the workpieces and generate a very high convective heat transfer rate in a turbulent flow, as well as radiant heat, thereby resulting in uniform heating of non-uniform shaped pieces and maximizing overall heat transfer in the furnace. The apparatus can be controlled to act in a heating mode, or in only a cooling mode, or a combination of modes in any zone for precise temperature control.
